The Department of Health Professions Education organized an educational development seminar titled “Moving Beyond Competition: Collaborative Excellence in Clinical Practice and Education” on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the SCM Campus. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Afshan Huma, a Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholar with over 27 years of academic and research experience.
The seminar aimed to promote understanding of strategies that foster collaboration and excellence in clinical practice and medical education. The event was well attended, with active engagement from faculty members representing both the basic and clinical sciences.
In his closing remarks, the Dean, Professor Dr. Muhammad Amir, emphasized the pivotal role of collaborative practices in promoting harmony within medical education. He highlighted the importance of reducing competition and strengthening collaboration in teaching and research as key drivers of professional excellence. The session concluded with a Dua led by Professor Dr. Muhammad Amir.
